Pick up Instructions
For pick-up items, please call one (1) day before pick-up in order for us to prepare your furniture for inspection and loading. The phone number for your pick up location will be on your invoice. We will be able to assist you in loading your vehicle but are in no way responsible for tying down and securing your load, nor responsible for any damages incurred during transportation. Please bring your receipt and government-issued ID and credit card you used to make the purchase.
Delivery Instructions
Prior to your Delivery
- The delivery date will be confirmed with you 7-14 days in advance. A two (2) hour time window will be given to you 24 hours prior to your delivery. Delivery times are ESTIMATES and shall not be deemed fixed or guaranteed. Delays in delivery for reasons beyond our control are not subject to any refund or price adjustment.
- Deliveries that are confirmed and subsequently cancelled or postponed without a minimum of 48 hours notice will be charged an additional delivery fee.
- Please ensure that there is sufficient space for goods to be delivered. Ensure adequate access to safely complete the delivery. Driveways, hallways, staircases, and rooms must be free of obstructions. In some conditions, we will require an additional damage waiver to be signed if there is insufficient space. It is your responsibility as the customer to make sure that the furniture will fit. If there is no elevator in your residence, the Muse & Merchant team will be able to bring your items to the third floor.
- Ensure that someone over the age of 18 is present to accept the delivery during the entire agreed upon time window. Unfortunately, due to the scheduling of our delivery trucks, we will not be able to wait for customers who are not home at the time of delivery.
If any of the above-mentioned criteria are not met and a new delivery is required there will be an additional delivery fee.
During the Delivery
If at the time of delivery or pick-up you notice any damage, defect or deficiency, you MUST document this on the invoice. (NOTE: It is your responsibility to note on the invoice any damage or defects. Failure to report issues at this time could result in the inadmissibility of later claims.) If the delivery person has left your premises, you must call the store and report the issue within 24 hours.
Muse & Merchant is not responsible for securing any items to your walls but suggests if your furniture requires being secured for safety that you follow the manufacturer’s recommendation.
In some instances, we will be able to ship out of our local delivery zone. Additional fees will apply and will be shipped via a third party. All deliveries received from a third party must be inspected before signing any receiving documents. This is very important as Muse & Merchant cannot be liable for any damage after the delivery is received. Please note, for those living outside of our local delivery zone Muse & Merchant is unable to service its products and it is the customer’s responsibility to cover all costs to transport the product back to Muse & Merchant for warranty repairs.

Fluctuations in humidity can cause some solid woods to crack which cannot be prevented. The splitting or cracking of solid wood is not a defect. Pilling is a natural occurrence in all fabrics where excess fibers come loose with wear. Pilling is not a defect in fabrics and can easily be cared for with proper maintenance.
